Moonlight review

This film is about a young black person growing up at first with his mum who looks like she does drugs and brings him her up on her own. It starts off when he is a child and he got bullied and called a faggot without knowing about about his sexuality. This made me grow attached to the character as he also did not have a fatherly figure except for one person he wold go to his house every day and would be treated nicely there but the downside is that he traps which means sells drugs. After that phase of his life it then moved on to the teenage part of his life and at this time his fatherly figure role model had died before and he was still being bullied about his parents and who he was as a person. It was at this part of his life where his best friend at the time and him would explore their sexually and realize that he was attracted to boys but was forced to subdue the feeling as it was frowned upon from other people. In my opinion this looked like the hardest time in his life as his mum was barley nice or sober and he was getting physically harmed and or mentally harmed. Lastly, we move on too his adult life where we find out he traps and sells drugs and has become bigger and stronger. He still hides the fact on how he was sexually attracted to men and cannot be helped. But he finally meets his childhood friend who had a deep connection between each other and finally turns out the still like each other as adults and get together. This movie was amazing and deserved the Oscar due to how compelling the story was.
